A Survey Research for the Consciousness Structure of Nursing Students in Busan, Categorized by Their School Year Grades

Abstract
This research was put in Practice with random sampling through questionaire to the 270 nursing students in the 3 nursing technical schools in Busan and the Department of Nursing, Busan Medical College.
They were asked to respond to some questions of the following respective subject-matters: (1) feellings on the nursing science, (2) sentiments of school life, (3) the sense of human social life, (4) feelings on the other sex, and (5) the sense of marriage. The results acquired are as follows:
1. feellings on the nursing science:
As for motivation of. choosing the discipline, "For the sake of employment after graduation" was higher responded to by both the lower and the upper school-year grades, in common. Satisfaction with the discipline was higher in rate for lower grades rather than for upper grades.
And for a pride and a sense of mission as nursing student, there could not be found out any sign¡©ificant difference between both sides.
2. Sentiments of school life:
As for discontents with school life, the lower grades rated higher for "Lack of systematic theory in nursing science", and the upper grades for "Comflicts coming from discord of school with clinic training circumstances." The students dominent channel for dealing with problems in their school life was in common "Consulting with a member of family or cousin." The frequency of their talking with professors was inferior for the lower grades to for the upper grades. As for demand to profe¡©ssors, the lower grades rated the highest for "Individual interview", but the upper grades for r "Gui¡©dance of professional study, "
3. The sense of human social¢¥ life:
In common the respondants showed the highest rate for "Human life is a significant field of the struggle for existence, " and they largely agreed on "Human conscience had absolutely to be kept in any case." and the rather more students in the upper grades put the relative importance in human living on "Developing personal competence".
4. feelings on the other sex:
To the question "Now do you have a male with whom you keep company"?, the much more stu¡©dents in the upper grades responded for "Yes." and their major motives for a sociating with the Male was upper grades than in the upper grades than in the lower grades accounted their relations with the aecociating male as the partners for marriage.
5. The sense of marriage:
The rather more students in the upper grades recognized the necessity of marriage, and most of the students in the both sides considered "Personality" as the best condition for marriage.
